Every website in the Medialister Marketplace includes traffic and authority metrics to help you evaluate publishers. These metrics come from trusted third-party providers and are updated regularly.
Medialister uses data from leading SEO and traffic analytics platforms:
SimilarWeb — audience and traffic insights
Ahrefs — Domain Rating and organic traffic
Semrush — Authority Score and organic traffic
Since each provider uses different methods, some values may vary between sources.
Each website listing displays a combination of the following, depending on provider availability:
Domain Rating (Ahrefs)
Authority Score (Semrush)
Organic traffic (Ahrefs and Semrush)
Audience and traffic insights (SimilarWeb)
Some metrics in the Marketplace are calculated by Medialister based on available website data. These include:
Trust Rank
MAI (Media Authority Index)
Estimated Placement Views
These metrics are not provided by external data sources. They are calculated using stored website data and internal formulas to provide additional insights for evaluating publishers. Medialister metrics are updated automatically when the underlying data changes.
For details on how these metrics are calculated, see the Medialister Attention Index (MAI) article.
Metrics are collected at the domain level, not individual pages.
For example:
example.com/news
example.com/business
will show the same metrics because they belong to the same domain.
Subdomains are measured separately, so:
example.com
blog.example.com
may have different metrics.
Marketplace metrics are refreshed once per month, usually around the 20th.
When a publisher adds a new website, available traffic data is retrieved automatically so metrics can appear before the next update.
When the same metric is available from multiple sources, Medialister keeps the most recent and reliable value. If data becomes outdated or unreliable, it is removed and displayed as N/A instead, so only accurate information is shown.
A metric may appear as N/A when:
A provider has no available data.
The data is outdated and has been removed.
There is not enough information to calculate the metric.
Publishers cannot edit or override these metrics directly, they update automatically as source data changes.
